Relocating To Overland Park Kansas And Looking For A Short Term Home Rental?

Checking The Pulse Of The Kansas City Real Estate Market

While most individuals, couples and families relocating to Overland Park prefer to purchase a home right away, there are others who contact me with hopes of locating a short-term rental home at first. Most of these potential clients don’t want an apartment and have hopes of locating a house to rent for 3, 6 or 12 months. Doing so would allow them to get settled in to the area before starting the home buying process. This makes sense on the surface but almost every time I’ve seen the search become complicated, hit-or-miss and at the very least confusing for the potential renter.

There just isn’t any one great source for locating rentals homes in Overland Park and the surrounding areas. So it’s going to take some research and leg work on the renters part. I want to point out that home rentals are not a standard part of the local Kansas City MLS like they are in some other metro areas. No individual or national companies or web sites have done a good job of taking on the task either. But if this is the route you feel makes the most sense for you, here’s several suggestions to help you down the path of locating some of the available Overland Park home rentals…

Search Craigslist For Overland Park Area Homes For Rent

Search Home4Rent For Overland Park Homes For Rent

Search Google For Overland Park Homes For Rent

Search HotPads For Overland Park Rental Homes

Search RentalHouses for Overland Park Area Home Rentals

Search RentBlurb for Overland Park Kansas Home Rentals

If you’re definitely going to be buying a home in the next couple months to a year, I’m able to assist with scoping out potential area rentals. All that’s needed is an extended buyer’s agency agreement that allows me (or a buyer’s agent in my office) to represent you down the road in your home purchase. Please contact me if this would be useful in your relocation to Overland Park, Kansas City or the surrounding areas.
