Here in the Kansas City area, it appears we’re finally starting to come out of the worst drought most of us have ever experienced. We’ve definitely had some much-needed cooler days the past couple of weeks and even had some good downpours too. As we head towards fall, this is certain to ease the stress on many area lawns after a sun-baked summer that included far too little rain.

Checking The Pulse Of The Kansas City Real Estate Market
We’ve had so many 100 degree days this summer and last that I’ve noticed people are getting used to the brutal heat. There’s really no other choice I guess if you want to get in the normal summer activities. Youth sports teams are practicing in the heat, people are out jogging and nearly melting and in most cases the show must go on… Checking the extended forecast it appears there’s no break in site, so be prepared to deal with more excessive heat if you’re heading to any outdoor events this August.

Keller Williams Red Day 2012: Giving Back To Our Kansas City Area Communities
Checking The Pulse Of The Kansas City Real Estate Market
Keller Williams real estate agents across Johnson County Kansas and the surrounding Kansas City metro area are gearing up for our annual Keller Williams Red Day, where up to 75,000 agents across the U.S. give back to our local communities. This year Red Day is Thursday 5/10 and my office has continued our partnership to assist Children’s Mercy hospital. We’ve collected donation after donation of crayons and color books for the children at the hospital and we’ll be bringing out the old red wagons for our 4th annual jaunt several blocks to make the delivery to Children’s Mercy South.
If you’d like to donate crayons to the cause, please deliver them any weekday between 9am and 5pm prior to 5/9. Our office is located at 11005 Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park. We’ll be out the day prior assisting Habitat For Humanity and then we’re wrapping up our Red Day celebration with a “shRED Day” on Friday 5/11, where all of our clients are welcome to bring in documents that need shredded. Documents can be delivered between 7am and 10:45am on 5/11 and the Shred It truck is scheduled to arrive to our office at 11am.
