The annual Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 11 AM but, before the parade begins, you can do what we did last year and take the kids to an early morning breakfast. After the breakfast and the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the partying really begins for many. A new city ordinance will allow Westport bars to serve alcohol out doors if they pull a temporary ‘catering” permit. If they choose to do so, this will allow those Westport area establishments to compete with the Power Light District’s outdoor atmosphere.
