Get Out And Vote Today… To Ensure Your Vote Counters The Ignorant People

Checking The Pulse Of The Kansas City Real Estate Market

No matter how busy your day is today, there’s no excuse for not getting out to vote. I don’t remember an election where it was more important to make your opinions heard. Our country is at a cross roads and where we go from here is in our hands. No matter what your opinions are, where your loyalties lie, I’m calling on you to take the time to get to the polls today and exercise the right that so many others before us have fought to provide.

If you think your vote doesn’t matter, think again… your vote may be needed to cancel out another’s vote of ignorance. So many people vote on issues they don’t understand, that it should be all our personal responsibilities to get out there, vote, and ensure there are no election flukes. In the great words of Walter Judd… “People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote – a very different thing.”

There’s many great things to love about Kansas City and one of those is the local restaurant options.  My family eats out more than most and when we’re looking for something in between McDonalds and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, there’s many options from which to choose. Kansas City is well-known for its barbeque and hamburgers but there’s also many other great restaurants like Manny’s and Garozzos.

But there’s so many other great family options that we rarely have to travel more than a few minutes to get to one we all like – and where a family of four can eat for under $50 in the Kansas City area…

Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

Checking The Pulse Of The Kansas City Real Estate Market

The annual Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 11 AM but, before the parade begins, you can do what we did last year and take the kids to an early morning breakfast. We went to McCoy’s Public House and it turned out to be a great start to the day! If you’re considering doing the same, other than old reliable First Watch near Westport, there’s also the following St. Patrick’s Day breakfast options…

Browne’s Irish Market – Irish bacon served after 7 AM.
McCoy’s Public House – 12th annual breakfast served after 7 AM.
McFadden’s Sports Saloon – Shamrocks & Shenanigans Party after 6 AM.
Ragland Road – Traditional Irish breakfast served after 8 AM.

After the breakfast and the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the partying really begins for many.  A new city ordinance will allow Westport bars to serve alcohol out doors if they pull a temporary ‘catering” permit. If they choose to do so, this will allow those Westport area establishments to compete with the Power Light District’s outdoor atmosphere.  The options across town are really limitless, but here’s a few of the popular St. Patrick’s Day stops…
